About Us
At Share the Knowledge (STK), we believe great screen stories start with great training. As a not-for-profit company, we provide industry-led courses that give participants the knowledge, confidence, and connections to thrive, whether you’re new to the screen sector or an experienced creative ready to advance your skills.
Founded by producers Emma Slade and Victoria Dabbs of Firefly Films, and supported by Anushka Daga, STK brings in top industry experts to deliver training that’s current, practical, and focused on real-world production needs. Together, we’re building a vibrant community of skilled professionals shaping screen stories for Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond.
Why the Tuakana Teina Model ?
We embrace the Tuakana-Teina model, a Māori framework for reciprocal learning where more experienced (tuakana) and less experienced (teina) learners walk alongside each other. This approach is built on trust, mutual respect, and shared growth and creates a supportive environment where every participant contributes to a stronger screen industry future.
